Condition guides

Online dietitian care, by condition

A registered dietitian can help with many conditions where food makes a real difference, from digestive problems to blood sugar, heart health and the changes of midlife. Each guide below explains what that care involves, who it suits, when to see your doctor first, and what a month of care looks like.

Choose your dietitian and pay for the month online, or meet them first with one $140 first visit. Online enrollment opens dietitian by dietitian, and where a dietitian’s has not opened yet, booking says so plainly.

Frequently asked questions

What conditions can an online dietitian help with?

Many conditions where eating plays a part, including digestive conditions such as IBS, SIBO and celiac disease, prediabetes and type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, fatty liver, PCOS, thyroid conditions, menopause, weight and nutrition on GLP-1 medication.

Do I need a referral or insurance?

No insurance is needed: care is self-pay by card. In most states you can book without a referral. In California, medical nutrition therapy from a registered dietitian is provided on a referral from the patient’s physician (Business and Professions Code §2586).

What is the Personalized Care Plan?

The Personalized Care Plan is $600 a month (30 days): four 60-minute video sessions, one a week, a personal nutrition plan adjusted week by week, and chat and call support between sessions. It is the way most people work with a dietitian on a condition over time.

Can I try one visit first?

Yes. A first visit is $140, a chance to meet your dietitian and see how they work before you commit to a month. You can also go straight to a month with your chosen dietitian.

Does a dietitian replace my doctor?

No. Your doctor diagnoses and treats medical conditions and manages your medicines. A registered dietitian provides nutrition care alongside that treatment.

Our condition guides are general education, not medical advice. Talk with your doctor about your own diagnosis, tests and medicines.
