Book a video visit with a registered dietitian who may practise in Connecticut. One clear price, $140, shown before you book. No insurance, no referral, no subscription.
Every dietitian listed here may see patients located in Connecticut. Visits are by secure video, so it makes no difference where in the state you are.
Providers marked “no state licence required” are not licensed in Connecticut. Connecticut does not require a state licence for nutrition counselling by a credentialed registered dietitian via telehealth (Conn. Gen. Stat. §20-206p). Services are nutrition counselling, not medical treatment; providers without Connecticut’s own credential do not use the “Connecticut Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist” (C.D.-N.) title.

Monthly plan · From $600 / month
Jacob Dowling, RD, CDCES and Dr. Ambily Kushal, RD, MS, PhD offer it to patients in Connecticut, with enrollment opening on each dietitian’s profile once the monthly program is in place. The plan is $750 a month with Jacob and $600 a month with Ambily, for four weekly 60-minute video sessions, a personal plan adjusted as you go, and chat and call support in between.
What Jacob works on: prediabetes, sports nutrition, injury recovery, diabetes, nutrition coaching and healthy habits. A month on the plan gives whichever of those you came for a full hour every week.
Every week on the plan is a full hour with Ambily on whatever brought you, from gut health, PCOS, weight loss, thyroid health, diabetes and heart disease.
Sessions are by video, so the plan works the same from Hartford, New Haven and Stamford or a small town hours from any of them, as long as you are in Connecticut at the time of each session.
Other registered dietitians may see patients in Connecticut as well (six of them, covering men's health, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, prediabetes and blood sugar management), and because the plan is standard on CognitiveMind.ai, each can offer it once their own enrollment opens.
Single visits with Jacob or Ambily can be booked today, as often as weekly. Start with a first visit at $140 and ask about the plan; it opens on each dietitian’s profile once the monthly program is in place. No Connecticut licence is needed for a registered dietitian to counsel you by telehealth under Conn. Gen. Stat. §20-206p; the RD or RDN credential is the qualification your plan runs on.
Connecticut is small enough to drive across in two hours, but an evening video visit still beats leaving work early for an appointment.
Connecticut is on Eastern Time. Visit times are always shown in your own time zone.
There is no single best dietitian, only the right one for what you need. Five things worth checking, whoever you end up seeing:
Check the credential. Look for RD or RDN. It means an accredited degree, a supervised internship and a national exam. In many states anyone may call themselves a “nutritionist”.
Check they may practise in Connecticut. Connecticut certifies dietitians, but no state licence is required for registered dietitians providing nutrition counselling by telehealth; the state protects only its certified title. So the national RD or RDN credential is what tells you they are qualified. What matters is the state where YOU are sitting during the visit, not where the dietitian is.
Match the specialty. Ask what share of their patients have your condition. Someone who sees diabetes or gut conditions every day will get you further, faster.
Know the price first. You should see the full price before you book, and what happens if you cancel. If you cannot, keep looking.
Ask about between visits. Most of the change happens between appointments. Find out whether you can message your dietitian and how quickly they answer.
Step 1
Choose a dietitian and a slot that suits you. The price is on the screen before you confirm.
Step 2
Join from your phone or computer. Your first visit is 60 minutes: history, goals, and a plan you can actually follow.
Step 3
Message your dietitian, keep your plan in one place, and book follow-ups when you need them.
